Aims and Scope

Regardless of the general goals that are considered in launching scientific journals, including promoting scientific discourse, creating a cultural context, and the opportunity to present research achievements, etc., the Journal of Research in Islamic Education and Training seeks to fill the theoretical gap in the field of Islamic education and training.

It is explained that research in the field of religious and Islamic education is seen in the form of numerous reputable journals in academic and seminary centers, and some journals focusing on Islamic education are trying to condense and repeat the scientific and research literature specifically on Islamic teachings that are included in the university curriculum; however, it seems that special research on the teaching of religious and Islamic education as "additional education" has received less attention; therefore, theorizing in the field of Islamic education and upbringing is the main goal of launching this journal. Just as other areas of "additional education" at Farhangian University, such as physics and biology education, etc., are also at the frontiers of knowledge and can be a pioneer in the production of science in this field.

Given the existence of a 35-credit course set (19 Islamic education courses and 16 Islamic education courses) in the teacher training curriculum of Farhangian University, theoretical support for Islamic education and training with an emphasis on the local requirements of teacher training and relying on the conclusions of the philosophy of teacher training in the Islamic Republic of Iran is considered the highest goal of this publication.
